Custom hold music is now available for your tenants. There are two different types of custom hold music services essensys provides. The standard version allows tenants to change their hold music annually whereas the premium service allows tenants to change monthly.
The service can be added to a client by editing a client's services within Connect's client manager. The tenant should have the audio file and proof of licensing ready prior to requesting the service. Once the service has been added the essensys support team will be notified and will contact you requesting to be provided the audio file, the tenant name and evidence of licensing. There will be a 1-2 day turnaround until the hold music is added.
The public use of recorded music legally requires tenants to have a PPL and PRS licence. Tenants can obtain these licenses at:

Tenants are fully responsible for obtaining the licenses required for their hold music. essensys will not check if tenants have the correct licences and will not be held accountable for any infringements of licensing regulations.
Audio File Requirements: WAV file, the sample rate is 8000Hz and the encoding is unsigned 8-bit PCM.
Please note if a call comes into reception, before it is directed towards a tenant, the default reception hold music will play, not the tenants custom hold music.
