The Public IP tab is to help understand Public IP allocation, understand how many Public IPs are assigned or free and to manage the allocation of individual subnets.
All Sites/My managed sites
View a site breakdown of your portfolio's Public IP allocation and stock. In a single page, you can view the number of Public IP addresses at a site (per circuit) and how many are assigned vs free.
You can also dive into understanding the allocation per site using the site picker on the left hand side.
Site IP address allocation and management
View a site Public IP addresses in a single table. Here you can sort and filter the data to narrow down the data set you wish to view. Each row contains whether the Public IP is on the primary or back up circuit, which subnet the IP address sits in, the IP address itself, the status, if it assigned and to who and a description.
An individual IP address can be unassigned from an existing occupier, assigned to a new Occupier or Operator or where an IP address is required for a non-Operator or Occupier function the IP address can be "reserved".
A Public IP address can either be resered OR assigned to an Occuper/Operator. It cannot be both.
The description field can be used to store notes as to the purpose of the IP address for future reference.
Locked Public IP addresses
A Public IP address can be set to locked. This is controlled by the essensys team as we are locking an IP address as it is a crucial part of the infrastructure set up and we cannot risk it being accidentally assigned to an Occupier. A locked port is uneditable and controlle dby essensys team. If you would like a locked port to be used for a different function, please contact the essensys team and we can resolve for you.
