The Department Code is used for financial exports to Sage and determines the organisation to which Sage will associate the revenue. The Sage export file will include this field.

The Department Code field may not be immediately visible, but can be added either on the organization, location, product group, product or the account, via Page Layouts.

The department code can contain numbers or letters but a maximum of three characters.
