How to Extract BSSID Data from the Cisco Meraki Dashboard
This guide explains how to extract BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifier) data from the Cisco Meraki dashboard. BSSIDs are essential for identifying individual access points (APs) in your network, especially in environments with multiple SSIDs or complex Wi-Fi setups.
Prerequisites
Before you start, ensure you have:
Admin access to your Cisco Meraki dashboard.
Network set up as per our previous process.
A web browser with internet access.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Log In to the Cisco Meraki Dashboard
Navigate to Cisco Meraki Dashboard
Enter your username and password, then click Sign In.
Select the appropriate organization from the list if prompted.
Step 2: Navigate to the Wireless Network
From the main dashboard, click on “Networks” in the top navigation bar.
Select your wireless network from the list, or use the search bar to find it quickly.
Step 3: Access the Access Point (AP) Information
In the left-hand menu, click “Wireless” > “Access Points”.
You’ll now see a list of all access points in your network, along with key metrics like status, SSIDs, and location.
Step 4: Capture BSSID & Access Point Data
Click on the name of an AP to access its detailed status page.
On this page, on the left hand side under the AP name will be the MAC address.
There is also a link to the “BSSID” section. Click here, to open a table displaying all SSIDs associated with the AP, along with their corresponding BSSIDs.
Each BSSID is a unique MAC address that identifies a specific radio on the AP for a specific SSID.
In a spreadsheet, please capture MAC address of the WAP & Corresponding BSSID

Troubleshooting Tips
No BSSIDs visible: Ensure the AP is online and broadcasting SSIDs. Offline APs won’t display BSSID data.
Export option missing: Verify your account permissions. You need sufficient admin rights to download network data.
