You can customize the contacts Module within your Operate system by going to Settings > Customize > Contacts.

Custom Fields - Custom fields allows you to add your own fields to this module.
Page Layouts - Page layouts allow you to create different page layouts to display selected module data.
Record Types - Create and maintain record types for your module. You can display different page layouts based on record types.
Standard Fields - Here is where you can manage your standard fields. You can change the labels which are displayed to the user.
