elumo is designed to be simple to connect by a suitably skilled installer due to the following features:

  • Hub, Reader and wired electric lock (not supplied, max. 1.2A @ 12V DC) can be powered by a single PoE+ switch port over standard CAT5 or higher ethernet connection providing internet connectivity.

  • elumo also supports the following advanced installation features should they be required:

    • Door Monitor and Request for Exit inputs

    • 12V DC power supply input

    • Dry lock relay

Optional 8x8 external relay support (not supplied)

Standard Installation

  • Connect elumo Hub to PoE+ ethernet switch port with internet access

  • Connect elumo Reader to elumo Hub using supplied 3m cable

  • Connect electric lock to elumo Hub wet relay (1.2A max. @ 12V DC):

    • electric strike

      • Use Ground and NC relay connections

      • Connect door monitor input (optional - required for door forced/held alarms)

    • electric magnetic lock

      • Use Ground and NC relay connections

      • Connect door monitor input (optional - required for door forced/held alarms)

      • Connect Request-for-Exit button input

Advanced Installation

  • The elumo Hub may be powered via 12V DC instead of PoE+ if required

  • The electric lock may be controlled via the elumo Hub's dry relay if required (2A max. @ 30V DC)

  • Auxiliary 8x8 relay board may be connected via 10-way IDC connector

It is the installer’s responsibility to satisfy all local building code or emergency exit regulations in relation to electric locks.
