Following a successful install of elumo devices on your doors, it is advised to complete the below tests to ensure that the system is functioning to your configuration requirements
The 3 tests are;
General access
Access a meeting booked in advance
Tap to book
Set up
Assumptions;
Doors are in installer mode
Existing physical cards are compatible with elumo system (if it is not, please ignore as appropriate)
The person performing the tests already exists as an Operator user in elumo software & they have full management permissions.
A suitable room has been identified to perform the tests in. Suitable would be a room which is free of meetings & has an elumo device on the room.
Step 1
If you have a CRM integration, you will need to create a test Company in your CRM system with a test user/individual (please use your email address and your mobile number for the user). This will create an Occupier in your elumo platform with an Occupier user.
If you do not have an integration, then create an Occupier and Occupier user directly in elumo software.
Step 2
If physical cards are compatible, then your next step will be to find the Occupier user in elumo software and edit the user to associate their card ID to the user. Save.
Step 3
Once successfully saved, scan the essensys provided QR code & follow the steps to download your pass to your mobile. Once downloaded, the digital pass and physical pass represent the same access credential.
Step 4
You will need to ensure the door that you want to test with is correctly mapped to it's corresponding space. This can either be checked or configured by going to your elumo platform account, navigating to 'Access management', select the correct site and on the 'Doors' tab select to 'Assign doors'.
Once your 'Assign Doors' modal is open, select the floor your test space is located on and Select the test space. On the right hand side of the modal will be a list of doors available at that site. Locate the correct door & drag & drop the correct door to the corresponding state. Save.
Step 5
The door device ring will flip from blue (installer mode) to white (available). Your meeting room is now configured & locked.
Test 1 - General Access
Outcome;
Users with 'group access' can access any meeting room & (if applicable) access works with physical & digital cards.
Step 1
To configure a user for permeant access, you will need to return to elumo platform. Under Access Management & "Access groups" tab create a new test group, to group your test user & the test door. Your user will not be configured to unlock the door at all times.
Test I
Tap your phone against the reader.
Expected result; Door will unlock & access is granted.
Repeat the test with your physical card.
Test II
Using your booking system, put a booking in the calendar for anyone that is not the test user. If the booking is scheduled within the next hour this will show on the reader ring.
Once the meeting has started, tap your card against the reader
Expected result; Door will unlock & access is still granted.
Repeat the test with your physical card.

2. Advanced booking access
Outcome;
User's without a booking cannot access a locked meeting room
User's with booking can access their meeting room
(if applicable) access works with physical & digital cards.
Step 1
Following the completion of test one and you have deleted the test access group created.
Step2
On behalf of the test Occupier user, book a meeting via the integrated booking platform which starts in 15 minutes.
Test IV
Five minutes before the meeting is due to start tap to access the room.
Expected result; Door remains locked.
Repeat the test with your physical card.
Test V
When meeting starts, tap to access room.
Expected result; Door will unlock & access is still granted.
Repeat the test with your physical card.
Test VI
At any point during duration of meeting, tap to access room
Expected result; Door will unlock & access is still granted.
Repeat the test with your physical card.
Test VII
At any point during duration of meeting, tap with a card of a user not included in the meeting
Expected result; Door remains locked.
Repeat the test with your physical card.
Test VIII
After the meeting has completed
3. Tap to Book
Outcome;
'Tap to book' books a meeting for an available room.
'Tap to book' does not work for a room with a booking.
(If applicable) access works with physical & digital cards.
Step 1
Following the completion of test two, you will need to wait for all meetings to have completed to have an available space.
Step 2
When the room is available, the elumo device will display a white ring
Test IX
Tap to access room
Expected result; Door unlocks, booking is confirmed.
Once meeting is completed, repeat the test with physical card.
