Communal Device Network

Guide on the Communal Device Network can be used for devices such as Shared Printers or Audio Visual Equipment

If you have devices such as Shared Printers or AV Equipment which all clients within your location needs to access you can utilize the Communal Device Network this pre-configured network would allow any device on this Network to be seen by clients PCs, Laptops, Mobile Phone and Tablets.

Connecting AV Equipment or any other device to the Communal Network

Connecting via Wi-Fi MAC/Device

To connect devices to Wi-Fi MAC/Device you can register the MAC address of the device against the Communal Client setup within Connect please follow this guide here to complete this step.

Once registered connect the device to WiFi MAC or Device network, this will then allow this device to be seen by all clients within the essensys Network either by a cabled connection or WiFi Secure.

Connecting via a Cabled Connection.

You can connect devices via a network cable to the Communal network by following the below guide you must make sure that the port has either a LAN or Internet Role, please see the guide here.

Once the device is connected to the cabled connection this will allows this device to be seen by all clients within the essensys Network either by a cabled connection or Wi-Fi Secure.

Note that we do suggest that any printers are assigned a Static IP address to confirm the IP Addresses that you can assign you would need to export the clients Service Guide please see this guide here to export the Service Guide.
