JEFF was a founding member of the essensys team. It has evolved over the years from performing fully automated orchestration tasks, transforming into a sophisticated real-time assistant. JEFF helps you understand what's happening within your workspace and offers friendly guidance when you need that extra help.

This guide well help you understand what JEFF can assist with, whilst also providing common examples. The functionality is evolving on a weekly basis so if there's something you'd like to ask JEFF but it hasn't provided relevant information, we are happy to listen and find a way that makes your interactions more enjoyable.

How do I access JEFF?

If you have an essensys Platform login, you can ask JEFF today.
To start a session, navigate to the bottom right of the page and click the blue icon.

Interacting with JEFF is relatively easy ... once you get to know it better.
You are presented with a choice of options, each option will allow you to provide context to your question / issue.

User - this may relate to issues with Wi-Fi Secure, email invites not being received or general issues on a cabled or wireless connection that requires troubleshooting.

Occupier - allows you to troubleshoot issues impacting multiple devices within the Occupier's network and run network specific health-checks

Question - ask about general how-to questions related to the Platform

Emergency - if reporting a site wide emergency, JEFF will run site wide health-checks to ensure issues are identified promptly.


Tips when interacting with JEFF

    Lunch breaks are a thing of the past, JEFF works 24/7/365 and never gets tired.

    JEFF can converse in 45 different languages, although it will try to simplify it's technical responses with a customer friendly response.

  • What can JEFF remember?
    JEFF's memory is still evolving, at the moment it can only remember one conversation at a time. For best results, break your request into simply terms and expand the conversation after each response.

  • Does JEFF provide an escalation path?
    Humans are available to assist JEFF if any confusion arises. If JEFF is unable to respond with an appropriate answer, an escalation path is available through a case creation process which will be assigned to the next available engineer.

  • What information can JEFF share with me?
    JEFF is not limited to static knowledge base articles. The data available is dynamic in nature, allowing it to retrieve real-time information to aid with the diagnosis of any reported issues.

  • Does JEFF have any weaknesses?
    JEFF is very eager to please and may sometimes provide an answer you want to hear. This is like a drug and can cause hallucinations. Don't worry though, these hallucinations are flagged and allow us to "re-train" JEFF to behave in a more polite manner.
